ABRIC Gains Stringent ISO 17712 Compliance

ABRIC has successfully achieved compliance with the latest international ISO 17712:2010 standard for mechanical freight container seals.

Launched in conjunction with the US Homeland Security C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership against Terrorism), the ISO 17712 standard specifies requirements and test procedures for security seals to gain the “HIGH security seal” classification. All security seals are required to pass four physical test procedures (tensile, shear, bending and impact tests), thus making the ISO 17712 one of the most stringent product standard for manufacturers to achieve.

ABRIC now offers a range of high security seals which meets the requirements and are ISO 17712 certified. This includes the latest bolt seals in the range (HanaLock & UnoLock 3.0) and best selling cable seals (AluLock 5.0 and AluLock 3.5). These high security seals have a tensile strength of at least 1000kg-f and they are ideal for application by the shipping and transportation industry in a wide range of cross border and domestic operations.
